Cancel bookings and annul guest reports in SES Hospedajes

Cancelling a booking and annulling a communication sent to SES Hospedajes are different actions. The first changes the stay; the second affects information already reported. Deleting a calendar entry does not establish that a cancellation was communicated to the Ministry.

First determine whether you have a cancelled booking, a guest report sent in error, or a batch containing several travellers. This helps avoid annulling valid reports for a real stay.

What is the reporting deadline for a cancellation?

Article 6.3 of Royal Decree 933/2021 requires immediate communication, within a maximum of 24 hours, for the relevant booking, contract formalisation or cancellation event and for the start of the service. It does not place every reporting obligation in the 24 hours after arrival.

Check which information applies to your activity and event. For a modification, no-show or uncertain previous submission, verify the official instructions before annulling valid data.

How to annul a communication in the official portal

The Ministry’s visual guide, section 10, pages 36–39, covers sent-communication annulment. The general sequence is:

1. Access the official platform with identification accepted for the procedure.
2. Select the communication type and locate the item to annul.
3. Check its reference and content before confirming. Review every report if selecting a batch.
4. Complete the action and check the platform’s result.

Follow the manual’s screenshots for the current interface and retain the result reference. An error response means you should not assume annulment completed just because you clicked the button.

What does “Cancelar Check-in” mean in BnCheck?

For a completed check-in submitted to SES, BnCheck offers “Cancelar Check-in” (Cancel Check-in). The confirmation identifies associated batches; check the booking and people included before proceeding.

This action requests annulment of the submitted check-in batches. It does not itself manage a commercial cancellation in Airbnb or Booking, or establish that every booking event was reported. If several batches exist and one fails, review each result: partial annulment may need attention.

A booking awaiting details and a check-in already reported need different checks. If the issue is an incorrect field, consult the guide to correcting SES errors before cancelling the entire submission.

Checks before and after annulling

• Before: correct property, dates, booking reference, communication type and affected travellers.
• After: SES response, annulment reference and the status of every batch.
• If the stay remains valid: determine which correct data must be reported; check the earlier status before resubmitting.

Can I delete the booking and create it again?

Do not use this as a substitute for an official annulment. The local booking and registered SES communication are different records. Keep the references needed to establish what was sent, annulled and remains pending.

Do I need to annul every traveller’s report?

That depends on the reported data and available action. Review the entire content when selecting a batch; do not assume it only affects the guest whose name you can see. Ask the relevant authority before confirming if your case does not fit the instructions.
