If AutoFirma is not working with SES Hospedajes, first locate the failure: before the application opens, when selecting a certificate, or after signing. A page that keeps loading does not prove that AutoFirma is the cause.
This guide helps you narrow down the issue and prepare useful information for support. It does not replace official registration or let you skip a signature required by the procedure.
Start with the symptom
| Symptom | First check | Avoid |
|---|---|---|
| The website never opens AutoFirma | Start from the official Ministry page and check whether you have reached a signing step. | Reinstalling before knowing whether SES access or the local application connection failed. |
| AutoFirma opens, but no certificate is listed | Check expiry and whether the certificate and private key are available on this computer. | Assuming a public certificate file is enough to sign. |
| A certificate is listed, but SES rejects it | Record the error and check the procedure’s identity requirements. | Assuming every certificate is accepted for every procedure. |
| The page keeps loading after signing | Check whether registration completed and keep any receipt. | Repeating a registration or submission without checking the previous result. |
AutoFirma does not open from the browser
Try launching AutoFirma directly on the computer. If it does not open, examine the installation. If it opens on its own but does not respond to the website, the browser-to-application connection may need attention.
- Use the official downloads and choose the package for your operating system and processor. Mac packages distinguish Intel from Apple Silicon.
- Close the procedure windows and AutoFirma before updating. Reopen the browser afterwards.
- If your browser asks to open the application for the procedure you started, verify the origin before allowing it.
- The official manual includes Herramientas → Restaurar la instalación (Tools → Restore installation) for certain local connection issues. Follow the instructions for your system.
Do not disable computer security as a generic fix. Confirm the source of an installer or browser request first.
Organise check-in after official registration
Once your entity, property and SES credentials are ready, BnCheck lets you collect guest details by link, review them and submit guest reports from your dashboard.
Create accountMy digital certificate is missing
Your NIE is an identification number, not an installed certificate. A SES password is also a different item. If you changed computers, check that your certificate is available on the new device with the private key required to sign.
The AutoFirma manual covers certificate access and installation issues. If local signing works but SES rejects your identity, check the website’s error and accepted identification: a local test does not establish acceptance for that particular procedure.
SES Hospedajes keeps loading after signing
Check for an existing registration, communication or receipt before restarting. Keep the attempt time, the step reached and the error text. Retry in a controlled way after checking the earlier result; repeated clicks can make it harder to establish which request was registered.
If the issue persists, use the support information on the official Ministry page. Provide your system, browser, AutoFirma version and error message. Do not publish certificates, passwords or guest documents in screenshots or forums.
Do guests need AutoFirma for online check-in?
Guests do not need AutoFirma to complete BnCheck’s web form. Signing a guest report and electronically signing an administrative procedure are different processes. BnCheck connects to SES with web-services credentials; see the BnCheck setup guide.
